Couple Mausers – Which to Glass?

I would really refrain from bubba'in a persian, they're very nice rifles and it'd be a shame. You may not want a LER scope. But something I never thought of was a friend with old eyes had a scout mount and a red dot sight on their mosin. It was surprisingly easy and fun to shoot when they...

I this a proper DOT scope for a ww2 sniper rifle k98 SS?

If there is a certain post or location in a thread you want to share; the miniature link icon to the top right of every post will generate a link exactly to that post in a thread. Very useful if you want to cut the fat in a thread.

I this a proper DOT scope for a ww2 sniper rifle k98 SS?

Fill out the mail in voucher for the secret decoder glasses at the bottom of your cereal box. Just wait 6-8 weeks then you can see the images.

MAUSER 98K "ZIELSECHS" 6X SNIPER SCOPE

There are none. You'd be easier off searching auction sites for commercial 1930's zielsechs scopes, they generally in great shape and don't cost arm and a leg. Military marked ones command a premium and are rare as hens teeth.

Sniper clone, which rifle to pick and what setup to build?

I would definitely save the matching CE rifle. Sporter rifles are best option as collector value is pretty much gone. Having built 2 clones off sporter guns, I would make sure it's accurate to begin with. Stay away from reproduction scopes, they're all crap. A 38 BLM doesn't really fall into...

    Low Turret AJACK 4x90

Thank you for sharing, always fun to read posts where gems like these come out of the closet. Very nice set indeed, and even a nice condition leather scope caps.

    SSDC dot 43?

What I've always gone by with DOT rifles, but the initial warm welcome to this example left a .01% doubt, as finding originals is easier said then done as we all know.

    SSDC dot 43?

Nice catch on the stamp indeed. Be shame if that faker's shop were to go up in flames. One of the new fronts in collecting; is also researching reproduction and tools like this and not just originals imo. Also in the sake of learning, were DOT rifles spotted with these SSDC types?

    AJACK finally !

Your ajack HT scope should be around 27mm diameter. Accumounts makes theirs in 26.5mm. It will need to be reamed for the beefier scope. Simpler and more stable conversion with a solid ring then their split 4 piece type. Maybe accumounts might make you special set if you ask, but they always...

    Ajack 4x90 +(Blue) Scope

Looks like it's been there and done that, probably had replacement parts at time in it's life. Looks like one of the double rain holes is there, perhaps it was badly damaged and shortened?

    AJACK finally !

Yeah he does good work, did beautiful job on a single claw of mine. Never heard of stretching split rings before though, think for the effort might as well just have closed ring properly reamed out version imo.

    AJACK finally !

Nice high turret scope. I recognize that one was sold by Holger about year or two ago. Don't think split rings will work for you, you need wider ring diameter.

The Most Laughable "Sniper" I've Seen

Ehh, the double sniper with regular mounts and a zf41 rail is still the holder of the most ridiculous sniper.

    New sniper find.

Four days of being owner of a SC, and already outed from shady behavior just to hide whatever shame from buying it (I'm assuming). Gotta be new record. Going to be harder to find scope now.

    New sniper find.
