Need estimated value on g24t mismatch

The G24t did not (with the possible exception of some of the first blank receiver variants) use the same stock as the VZ-24. They are similar but the G24t stock will have the stock cut for the slide mount sling and have German markings. If it is in a regular VZ-24 stock that would hurt value...

    1938 S/42 No Letter Block

Look at photos of surrender piles, little evidence they did either. If they wanted to destroy piles of rifles they were more likely to be drenched in fuel and set on fire based on photo evidence.

    1939 42 98k

On a 1939 Oberndorf, virtually every part including the cleaning rod would have been numbered with the full number or at least the last two digits. Barrel, receiver, bolt, stock, floor plate, trigger guard, both barrel bands probably highest priority for matching numbers. Then receiver screws...

    Bogus SS markings

I drove over to the shop this morning and told the owner I had no doubt the markings were fake. He told me the guy he had talked to worked at Navy Arms when these were imported and he knew that some number of rifles had these marks when they entered the US, based on that, in his original...

A gun store is selling a K98 Russian Capture DOU 45

A RC refers to the K98ks the Russians acquired during or after the war. Sometime in the 50’s or 60’s, probably in more than one session, the Soviets in their bureaucratic wisdom decided to disassemble all those rifles, coat the parts in various goop finishes and then reassemble them with no...

    Bogus SS markings

Posting this in the interest of full disclosure. Follow up on this rifle. It is now listed on an auction site, it is not my listing. When I moved it I was clear I believed the markings were fake. The dealer (01 FFL) said he has a guy who he would have check it. I don’t know what advice he was...

    1936 S/42 opinions wanted

The upper band is a restamp. Will be interesting to see the serial number in the stock channel. I think this is a stock from a S/42 G date rifle.

    Bogus SS markings

As I continue to pull stuff out of storage to dispose of, I found this. Bought it many years ago when the East European imports were coming in . I don’t know anything about SS markings and just wanted to confirm these marks are fake. The rifle is a S/147 code, 1937 dated Sauer

    Erma 1939 markings

I plan on moving this partially matching rifle and wanted to post receiver and barrel data for those who trend these. barrel code reads: CXM 37 7 40 bys this is followed by three poorly struck waffenampts that appear to be e/38, but I could be mistaken on that
