MAPS show in North Canton, OHWhere was it?
I thought maybe the bolt body numbers on handle, but it was a while ago. So would makes sense the rest is bad.MAPS show in North Canton, OH
The bolt shroud looks a little more than questionable on it.
The bolt body looked off as well, questionable at the least. Double struck “1” on it. Key safety numbering is off as well, from my experience. The bolt shroud looks like a late “T” block Steyr shroud that was renumbered.I thought maybe the bolt body numbers on handle, but it was a while ago. So would makes sense the rest is bad.
Scope mount, base, rings, and scope were offered with the gun as well. Just taken off the rifle. I suspect for plausible deniability. The price was $5,500 for just the rifle or $10,000 for the packageSo much for being destroyed/dismantled and parted out . The sniper elves must have gathered all the destroyed/dismantled parts and put it back together. As the old saying goes once a shite bird always a shite bird . The only thing dismantled was the Scope Mount & Base was removed from the rifle .
That’s a terrible deal. That’s crazy money. That’s almost what an original LSR goes for without the post war drill job.Scope mount, base, rings, and scope were offered with the gun as well. That was the old MSA forum IIRC.jsz I remember that. He claimed his medical bills got way out of hand and was desperate. I think it was on the Wehrmacht Awards Forum if memory serves.
Where did it turn up?Ha! We knew this turd would resurface. And this further proves that Dave Gill is a liar. He stated he would destroy the rifle. I guess not???
Looks like the poster deleted his comment.Where did it turn up?
Yes, another poster whose name I did not recognize posted about being offered the rifle to be paired with his can/mount and inquired about a “fair price” despite the rifle being enhanced.I was understanding that Matt has seen it somewhere for sale, hence his post. So there was another post above Matt’s post that got deleted?
Maybe it will change hands and a new reincarnated turd will be born and emerge from the bowels on the market for the next unsuspecting buyer?Looks like the poster deleted his comment.
He stated that he purchased a matching LSR can/mount in Michigan and was searching for a base rifle to put it on. He somehow came into contact with Dave Gill (Resides in Ohio) and was offered the fake LSR with base for $5,000. So the rifle is still in Ohio.
