    Polish Mauser Bayonet Collection

This year I picked up 2 more to add to the collection. The first is another Wz.98 bayonet, which is essentially a reworked S98/05 with additional Polish markings stamped on it. Curiously, the same serial number is marked twice on the bayonet (ricasso and guard) as well as the scabbard. It is...

    1909 DWM Gewehr 98 #4610

Thank you for the quick write up Chris, I was wondering the same question as OnlyMil when a Gew 98 sling (1st pattern) was posted for sale recently.

Good idea, I recently found out that they have a LOT more stuff in stock onsite than what they post for sale online.

Need help with the stock on a Polish K98

Hello there! You have a nice looking Kbk. Wz. 1898 (Polish K98), I would venture to guess that it may have been reblued at some point, as there are some lack of sharpness on some of the markings/serial number and the finish is glossy. I am assuming you have the rest of the components...

Nice pickup. Interesting marking on the bolt handle knob. I haven't seen that before.

    My 1934 Wz.29 Restoration

I ended up getting the bolt handle straightened by a gunsmith. He needed to get the bolt body glowing orange hot to bend it back. As a side-effect, the surface was scorched and he needed to polish it a bit (pun not intended haha!) to address the discoloration. However I was glad that he didn't...

My "Polish Unicorn": 1933 FB Radom Kbk.S.Wz.31 Trainer

I ended up getting the duffle cut repaired professionally. I am quite pleased with how it was blended in.

Muzzle protector with unknown makers mark

There is one on eBay currently with some interesting markings. Can anyone ID them and country of origin?

Muzzle protector with unknown makers mark

Was this the one that was sold on eBay recently (I think in June)? If so you outbid me  Yes it is Polish. It is hard to find these in non-relic condition.

Missing Front sight hand gaurd retainer

As far as I know, the entire rear sight base needs to be replaced. A skilled gunsmith may potentially be able to do some magic to use a spare base to reattach one to yours perhaps?

Glad you are happy with it FB. I would have totally jumped on this, but I don't need another mouth/caliber to feed. Glad it went to a good home!
