    1937 s/243

S/42; Yes, the neighbours can look straight into my back yard, so I snapped some quick pics of both of the k98's and put them back inside, missed that one  She still is very lovely, and smells a little like ballistol ;) great stuff, that. If you ever feel the need to let another K98 go...

    1937 s/243

After nearly 18 months of owning her, and finally buying myself a decent camera () I finally got around to taking some pics of my modest, but growing, Mauser stable. After watching the various gun sales websites for 18 months, waiting for one that ticked the boxes (walnut stock...

Had the girls out of the safe for a Christmas picture

Hi, Firstly, awesome collection  Could I be a pain in the a#*e & request some pics of the BNZ 44 SS contract? There is one for sale & I'm waiting on some pics from the seller, would like to know what to look for (my knowledge is still quite limited) and if it's really worth the $800...

Sleeper LSR that was flying under the radar.

Nothing worse than seeing a K98 butchered like this....let alone a legit sniper example. Amen to the fun, expensive race car statement (especially the expensive part, lol)....currently awaiting the call from my smithy to say my SSR Zielsechs mock-up is ready to be taken to the range

    Interesting looking Zielsechs on E-Bay..

My knowledge of K98 snipers only extends to the military manufactured ones (courtesy of this forum),could you shed some light on SS commercial snipers? I thought the SS used their versions of Wehrmacht SSR snipers and the like? Cheers.:happy0180:

    SWP 45....Thoughts?

Thanks, guys. I wasn't taken with the pics and my enthusiasm evaporated pretty quick when i saw them, esp the receiver and action.(ad just said late war K98). It's still chambered for the 7.92 x 57 round.

    SWP 45....Thoughts?

Hi All, Thought I would make a pest of myself and seek your opinions on a rifle I have the opportunity to buy. It's a SWP 45, with odd looking metal and a stock that seems to be in great condition (and was, once upon a time, a Gew). There are some strange markings on the receiver and the...

    Interesting looking Zielsechs on E-Bay..

Thanks for weighing in, Vaughn :hail: I'm not looking to purchase it or the Ajack (which is up to $375 now ) I also posted, just posted links for everyone to see and comment. I'm a layman with these things but the silver scope was certainly strange to me. You may remember I bought a post...

    Interesting looking Zielsechs on E-Bay..

That's what I thought....I was browsing for scopes/mounts for my project and came across that. There is a Zielvier in the exact same configuration for sale as well. Thought i'd post it to see if others thought it was as bazaar as I did  On another note, how does this one look...

    Zielsechs scope question

Thanks for the insight, Yes I have read posts from others stating he is the authority on stuff like this. :hail: Shame I'm in Australia, though lol. I would love someone like that to put it together for me, however I wouldn't feel right asking him to, considering he doesn't know me from a bar...

    Zielsechs scope question

Thanks for the reply/info, once again. I have attached pics of my scope. It is a post-war scope, aluminium with ugly rails on the bottom. Vaughn advised me when I got it (posted another thread when I got it asking info on it) that when the rails are removed I can only use a SSR mount as the...
