    SGX 44 Bayonet for review

It is original (real). Not at all rare; but extremely desirable in the collecting community. If someone desires only a single S84/98 in their collection, this is the one. Value is whatever the market will bear. As an example, there is a very nice one in the same letter block currently listed...

    Red 9

Yes, the sight removal/replacement (fixed) was part of the Police conversion process. Mine is 1920 stamped with two different Police unit markings. An older unit partially removed but still legible with an additional unit stamped nearby. Very interesting pistols in my opinion .....

    Strange bayonet

I remember this piece well. The single WaA519 has been almost completely removed (scrubbed) which dates the piece to middle/late 1944. Personally; not a fan of the MERZ-WERKE marking on this bayonet. An embellishment I'm afraid .....

ab 43 bayonet with strange flower/star marking

Many (but not all) of the ab44 in the f block have the f stamped upside-down under the serial number. Some of us thought these were j block when we were first compiling the production data.

    K98 holy grail…

The 4737 piece mention above is an orphaned scabbard only. It is however stamped with a WaA519 on the finial ball. Jacobi no longer owns it. The WaA519 stamps are completely random as far as when observed - some early examples do not have the marking - some late examples do. The latest...

    K98 holy grail…

Great find Len, congrats! I have a database of 1945 S84/98. The 45crs are a mixed bag as far as pommel WaA. Some have the WaA, others do not. It's probably a bit over 50% are WaA pommel stamped. Would also be interested in the scabbard WaA at the finial ball. Is there a SW WaA519 on the...

ASW 43/44 1097u Weld Seam Scabbard, Red Bakelite Grips, and Webbing Frog

Very nice rig and 100% original in all components. That said, who knows if the web frog was originally with this bayonet. Sellers, collectors and GIs all have a way of swapping things around. The marking on the frog is Wiko > Brake b/Blf. > 1942 for the firm of Wittkop & Cie. Metall und...
