    Hinsoldt-wetzlar 4x scope

Your Scope is Pre War Hensoldt Dialytan . The Reticule in your Scope is pictured in The Book Old Rifle Scope being one thats available/offered for Zeiss Scope . The typical/manufactured Reticule found in Your Scope is a single vertical pointed post with a thin wire horizontal reticule .

    Hinsoldt-wetzlar 4x scope

Does it say which Model it made for ?? For $40 bucks it maybe worth buying and trying . If You remove to 2 screws in the top of the dial on your scope there is a center plate which holds the scale ring in place . The 2 screws do not hold the Dial in place only the the center plate for the Scale...

    Another sniper…

The whole top end Scope Rings along with Bases are not original also scope is mounted incorrectly in rings . Also the front base screws are not correct either .

A few pics of a Scope that is same as yours . The scope was used on SSR this particular scope sports what most collectors refer to as the Early BMJ Dial . SSR for Review All Matching

Here is a photo of a Sauer Rifle showing inner receiver and the screws and pins for comparison to the one You are looking at . Notice the screws are flush with inner wall of receiver .

    SSR for Review All Matching

Yes the screws do appear to be blued on the ends , which would be correct for original screws . Here is Your photo from original post , You can see the screws do not fill the screw holes they should not stop short , the screws should be flush with inner wall of the Receiver. The Mounting...

    SSR for Review All Matching

It would have helped if the Base had a # to verify it is Original . I can say with certainty that the early SSR Base did not have a pairing # and I am still very confident that the Base is a Original WW2 SSR Base . Regardless of the bases originality the rifle is not an original SSR . I would...

    SSR for Review All Matching

Not an Original IMHO , the locking screws are completely wrong . IMHO the SSR Base is Original and will most likely have pairing number on underside . The Mounting screws or should I say at least the front/far left mounting screw looks to be original . I am posting a couple pics of an Original...

High Turret BYF 44 L Block Matching Sniper & Scope Found (Demill)

The Scope on your HT is a BMJ , IMHO this would be a neat restoration project . I would at least do a cost analysis and go from there . Good Luck what ever You decide !!!!!!!!!!

If You have a spare safety to send to Andy along with the damaged one I would suggest doing this that way he can replicate the repair on broken to match the Undamaged one exactly .

TURD ALERT The Polish Schlockmeister is back at again Fake HT Scopes

There is a number of things that I did not mention and the little that I did mention will still not help them anyway . Besides these things have been discussed many times over the years and it has not made a difference

TURD ALERT The Polish Schlockmeister is back at again Fake HT Scopes

First and foremost the Germans NEVER used any 8X Scopes on their Sniper Rifles , second the Rings and Bases are Reproduction along with all proof marks and number on the rings .

This not a HT but BNZ 43 SSZA4/SSZZA2 DOUBLE CLAW with a flat butt plate stock , I don't mean to high jack Your thread , but I thought it was a good idea to show a flat butt plate stock could actually have been used https://www.k98kforum.com/threads/ss-double-claw-sniper.46494/

    K98 PU Field Armorer Sniper

Here are the Promised Photos . As I mentioned in earlier post , I had to restore the Forward part of the Receiver as You will see in the photos . I then matched the Base to fit the Receiver contour and it was leveled and aligned to the receiver . You will notice there was no welding done to the...

    hand stamp bnz4 E/359 receiver

IMHO a Steyr is not worth keeping unless it has the Marholdt Mounts and either a Zeiss Zielvier in 81XXX range or a BMJ . 😳😳😉
