The winning bidder was bidding against me on a AX 1940, but looks like they dropped out of the AX to bid up this mess.
I saw that rifle benny. That was a very nice Feima made rifle and truth be told I was surprised what it sold for in the end.

That was my rifle, I should have shined it up and renumbered the floor plate 🤪
Indeed it was not pretty enough and you didn't include a cool story with it!

You should have said this mint crisp condition k98k rifle was found out of the woodwork and has never been taken apart since the veteran brought it home! Completely untouched and never fired either since it was brought home from the war the gentleman that I bought it from. He guarantees this story and he said it was taken off a dead German soldier at the Battle of the Bulge. The mismatched floorplate I guarantee was a battlefield replacement! Finding rifles like this is indeed super rare and is almost as rare as hen's teeth! This is one of the finest rifles I have ever owned in my 50 plus years of collecting. I guarantee it will make a super investment to your collection. It will only quadruple in value.

When I put in my bid I I thought it would be be out bid the last 15 minutes, but it never happened. I bought a bolt miss match 27 1940 off the trader a couple years ago and the 1940 AX will complete the book ends for that year.

You know, my gun is far from perfect, but I am happier every day that I only paid four bills for my numbers matching "dot" made gun. I knew prices of K98's had gone up, but wow, glad I'm not trying to compete on Gunbroker on some of these, I would come up short pretty early on.

Would you post up some photos and other details? I'm a big fan of Erma/Feima made rifles.

Wow...checking gunsinternational this morning for kicks.
1st 2 including a bcd43 by ca****
I'm a complete rookie but even I have more skill with a file....

This thing looks hilariously bad

Reading the description makes me wonder if the writers of these ever re read them with a critical eye. (apparenty NOT).
When I browse auction sites, I’ll look at the title, if there’s not too much BS in it, I’ll scroll down & read the pitch. If that sez “all matching except” and there’s more than 1 minor part listed, I skip the pics & move on to another listing.
Of course, even pix of bogus rifles can teach a lot…..

pre98 is clearly operating a America's premier Turd Factory. Sporters and bolt mm's go in, and "excellent condition, completely matching and un-messed with" Nazi rifles come out.
