For sure. And this saga highlights the importance of getting as many clear photos of all the important spots BEFORE making any decision. This would have been easy for members to see IF the photos were available.The gas shroud appears to be buffed and reblued. The side view of the root makes it appear to be abbreviated. Could you post a picture of a top view of the root?

Do you mean the firing proof?? It's fine. These are rarely faked as all 98k's will have them. I don't think it needs to be compared to "known good examples".As stated in the other thread I have concerns about the eagle stamp. I asked y’all’s thoughts as, unfortunately, I am on the road now and cannot compare to known good examples. Thus my comment here recommending y’all take a second look.
