Thank you Aaron. I rather assume the stock is from a 1937 Oberndorf, I wish the block would be visible at the bottom of the serial number.
Do you need more for your research?
Also has anyone figured out what the “P” stands for on the lower grip area?

Interesting thread
While I was pimping my sh*t today I noticed the glue type P and date code. I didn't capture the laminate code. 1940 3642 e block. 7.50.39 is the date.

I guess it's a Mauser Berlin? Is it a Heer or Kriegsmarine rifle? It's one block before the Sweden deliveries.
Stephan it's a Feinmechanische and a Heer rifle. I was going to check for laminate code in the barrel channel.
What month is "50"? I have a byf41 with a date code 3 78 40.While I was pimping my sh*t today I noticed the glue type P and date code. I didn't capture the laminate code. 1940 3642 e block. 7.50.39 is the date.

That is week, not month. So for mine it was the 7th day of the 50th week of 1939. I'm thinking yours is possible 48 as there's obviously no 78th week in a year. German 1 looks very much like a 7 but that's early in 1940 to be on a '41 I'd think. What month is "50"? I have a byf41 with a date code 3 78 40.
