Getting in 100 k98k rifles.

Thought you guys would find this neat. I've got around one hundred Portuguese contract K98k rifles (M937B technically) 1941 dated that'll be available likely mid/late next week at The Mosin Crate.
Nice rifles, their all mostly matching(I know I know, that's like being sorta pregnant) with some all matching. I'd say good overall surplus condition. Crests on them are beautiful, have heer(H) marked stocks. Most of them have original German made slings(fair to good condition but serviceable on most and cleaning rods with sight hoods.

Not sure on price just yet, they'll be more expensive than an RC but way way less than the $3000+ people are asking for their 937Bs elsewhere.(granted, theirs are in very good/excellent condition.)
Due to how I take orders(explained on the site, yes it's weird but works for me) I am not taking preorders.

I hand picked these myself. Not many were imported, TheMosinCrate.com and another bigger store online will have them but that's likely it. So if you don't want to or can't grab one from my store there will be at least one other option.

Not putting a damper on this party, but some rifles from the Hansen lot had issues under the hood with severe pitting under the wood line.
Too bad that the rifles couldn't be pre-checked.

Hopefully this latest batch has been stored under better conditions.
 
Alden, just a suggestion but you are a dealer here advertising your business and using this forum to your advantage. You have received help from members here on info about K98ks. There is nothing wrong that as you have shown yourself to be an honest dealer. And helping each other is why many of us are here.

Consider giving the members of the forum here a perk on this batch of rifles. I am not sure what that looks like and understand it can make logistics difficult for you. Perhaps a small discount for active forum members? First access? Or hand selection?

Just my opinion.
 
From counting it seems this pallet holds 50 K98k rifles, so you have another one coming in? It seems these now turn up, have been told elsewhere that German WWII K98k rifles are thought to be coming in.
 
Looks like all early ones with flat but plates. The Hansen bunch had the smallest import stamps I’ve ever seen. Still have one I picked out of a rack of about 20 or so for $275 in their shop! How are these marked?

Looks to me there are 10 in a row. but for the top row ? I could be wrong though.

Here's a paraphrased sampling of some of the messages I've received.

"Hey, this is BLANK from youtube, can we get one for review on our channel?"
"Repeat customer of many times, can you get me one of these?"

Trying to be fair to all without favoritism but I've got people from all over asking for one ahead of time. One or two is fine, but it quickly becomes death by a thousand cuts.(Sort of between a rock and a hard place.) - I hand selected these myself, so there's not a dog in the bunch BUT they are in good condition, not excellent. I will try to do something for the forum like I did when I had the Nazi ammo but right now am focused on the guns(which are late in transit.) My goal is once they are here to quickly unload them and the other stuff, sort them, tag them, wipe them down, figure out pricing, edit website, make a video and then get them listed. This is a lot of work for just myself to do. I'm stressed right now(very excited too) trying to juggle everything, please be patient with me.

Edited several times..(I'm stressed, it's early.. coffee is making my jitters worse lol)

Some of them were so caked in grease inside and out that it was hard to tell. Others looked dark but with strong rifling(so good/serviceable?) while others looked excellent/mirror. They are all over the place.

I can't speak for the interior/under the wood condition as I have not taken any completely apart.(I can once they get here). There was surface rust on some, almost exclusively to the muzzle end of the barrel and around the bands(you can see one of these in the picture), this is also where most of the bluing was worn. My best guess is that these saw a lot of parade/guard duty and that's where it was being gripped. Beyond that I did not see any with major pitting, usually you can see evidence of under the wood along the wood line itself around the received/barrel. Thankfully I didn't notice any.

Ha, indeed! I was counting only on bottom end and top, therefore missed the total in this stack then would be 95 (plus maybe another 5 on another pallet left?).

Glad you share those images and the story with us @ncreptile! I highly enjoy stories such as these. Please do take more pictures when you have them and share them in here.
