New semi auto STG 44s being imported

Stg 44 There is always the GSG STG 44 .22 replica. I have one and it is great for what it is. The ammo for the real STG 44 is hard to come by. They are reloads by people who have never seen or shot a real one, had problems using the reloads with a real one.

    Cleaning rod for K98k

Dig out obstructions Thank you for answering me, but at this juncture, I'm just going to say, "it is what it is", an RC and leave it at that. It's not a "collector's piece" but a shooter and I'm not going to worry about some expensive and non-essential cleaning rod. The gun as it is works...

    R.C. 1938 K98k

If it fits correctly It goes in the hole beneath the bayonet lug, but no further. To me it appears now, that no hole was ever drilled in the hand guard to accommodate a rod.

    Cleaning rod for K98k

Internally threaded Received the rod today, it fits in the hole beneath the bayonet lug and only goes in a TINY bit. Since this is a RC mis-match and it already has the incorrect stock on it because of the cupped butt plate, is it possible a hole was never drilled in the hand guard because...

    My K98k.

As I stated before, it's a RC with no matching numbers. The receiver is stamped 1938 but the stock has a cupped butt plate. So I am ordering an original USED flat butt plate to replace it. I am using the receiver's date of 1938 as a point of reference for replacing original parts.(Cleaning...

Cleaning rod It was 10 inches. It was too thick to fit in the hole. It was an after-market repro and we all know how in-accurate they can be. Do you know what the lug is made of? It's not metallic.

    R.C. 1938 K98k

I recently purchased my 1st K98k with a receiver stamped 243 1938, serial #6900. I know where it was made based on the #243. No other matching numbers other than the one on the stock and the electro-penciling on the bolt and trigger guard. It also has a bayonet lug that appears to be made of...
