Looks like nonsensical writing. It's as if someone used some stamping dies without knowing what the letters were, just for the sake of stamping something that looked important.

Just viewed last pic, stock recoil lug looks ok. Receiver is an occupied French build, looks refinished.

The stock is a recent made non-laminate reproduction, stock recoil lug could be a modified carriage bolt, so I'd be wary. The 'R' marking doesn't even resemble the French post war marking, not sure why that was faked. Front sight hood looks off, front sight base is late war Walther.

The g/k43 has several small easily lost parts, so having spares makes sense. The free floating firing pin, extension and extractor are quite stout. (The extractor spring/pin being the weak points). Same goes for the Mp44 series.

Good job! Always nice to see a project come together like that. I'd just enjoy it as is. Even though the stock is not correct laminate, it looks pretty good!

G/K43 trigger set Your very light trigger pull is most likely due to the sear adjuster screw turned in too far, which is factory preset and peened in place.

Nice write-up and details! The carrier though appears to be a machined forging rather than a casting. Same with the front sight base, gas block, gas plug and bolt.

Upper band screw A lower band screw from an M95 straight pull mannlicher will fit your upper band, although it will be a bit long and will need to be trimmed. Finding an original will be difficult.

Gas block The gas block pin can vary in drilled location somewhat from maker to maker, even from different rifle lots. That gas block is press fit in rather tightly also.

1886 kropatchek Brass can be made from 348 winchester, light smokeless loads only as these were originally loaded with black powder. Very slick action though, I load mine with rn cast gc. Black powder wood nosed blanks can be found, and usually fire. Nice rifle! I believe all the Portugese...

Go with the prvi 8mm and adjust the gas oriface to the smallest size to begin with. It's milder shooting and loaded to lower pressure that the surplus stuff. Besides, it's noncorr and usually readily available.

When you reassemble the bolt, is the rear of the firing pin flush with the knurled firing pin nut? When assembling, push the safety forward as far as it will go and turn firing pin nut all the way until it stops then back off counterclockwise just until it aligns with the bolt in the bolt open...

Wonder how well it holds zero.:facepalm:

Sorry to hear that, what 9mm ammo were u using? Can you provide pics of the crack?
