    Polish Mauser research

Mike, After long last, it appears that your question is addressed via a documented reference book. I am working on reading through it now and slowly jotting down notes. There is a section that goes into the initial orders of these short rifles between 1930-early 1931. It is way more than 1,000!

    Polish kbk.s.wz31

I am trying to have a contact in Poland track down a copy of this reference booklet (on rimfire training rifles). If successful, I will try to share any information gleaned from it.

I did see it, the one with the blank receiver right? Nah I didn’t bid. I am happy with the 2 examples I have.

Polish FB Radom 1932 K29 Short Rifle - German Rework

Through eBay, I found a somewhat local collector who was starting to offload a bunch of Polish 2nd Republic gear (1918-1939 dated items), and started messaging him to see if he would be willing to take the transaction off eBay to avoid those killer eBay fees, taxes, and shipping. Through further...

FB, if you ever remove the “pig nose” screw on the bolt, can you share photos of it from the side?

    Polish kbk.s.wz31

I am glad you scored this one FB. It looks absolutely gorgeous and puts mine to shame. These are a LOT more affordable to shoot than their 8mm Mauser brothers, and a lot easier on the shoulder. Anytime I go to my local indoor range (max distance 75 ft), I always take mine.

    1936 Polish Wz.98a Long Rifle

As part of a quick update, I was able to replace the repro Gew.98 stock with a Yugo rework of a Wz.98a stock. The original Polish markings are faded and “stamped over” with Yugoslavian markings (BK and VK in a circle for 'Voina Kontrolla’). It features a two piece beech wood construction with...

1929 PFK Warszawa K98 German Rework

I tend to like the PFK Warszawa crests as well. They have additional little proofmarks on them that are neat to find. It is not import marked.

1929 PFK Warszawa K98 German Rework

I had the opportunity to obtain another Polish Mauser recently, it is a 1929 dated K98 carbine made by PFK Warszawa. It is interesting that although PFK Warszawa made more K98 carbines than FB Radom, it seems that Radom made carbines are more commonly found on the market. It is a bolt...

best source for repro P.08 wooden grips?

A little late to this but here is my contribution for future consideration. To be honest, I am really impressed with the repros sold by Simpson Ltd. 0 fitting required. Literally plug and play.
