Nice one, sometimes I almost forget Steyr wasn’t the only one making Navy rifles.

Its so disgusting. I love it. That bolt shroud has to be one of the worst ones I have ever seen too, gorgeous. Looks like not just the stock, but the whole rifle had a rough life, lots of pitting and worn finish.

Go to the reference forum and you will see a bunch of L block byf44 rifles, many with zf41's. That is the type of rifle your stock would go on.

Any depot rebuild I typically see goes for 1.5-2x the price of an equivalent condition/rarity all matching rifle.

Exactly, invest in a good storage environment, not old myths and remedies that destroy artifacts. I have literally hundreds of pounds of leather items in my basement and have never had mold because I keep a dehumidifier running.

I have seen these K98k slings used on MP40’s too, maybe the initial intention was compatibility as well, since the first and third hole can be used for an mp40 stud without the frosch

I suspect the extra holes were for if the first one was worn out or teared, another hole could be used then.
