cnx ZF41 scope with duv mount

The scope is ZF41 Type1, early model made around 1942, with rare two piece rear rain shield. The mount is original one matched with rifle serial#8116L, not unused stocked original ones you see often. There are originally 3 numbers on a set. Scope#, rifle# and mount#. 300 USD is very nice price...

Some new photos Some new acquisition showing ZF41 at work. They are both ZF41 Type1, but I believe they are pictured around 1943. See also: http://zielfernrohr.b.la9.jp/zielfernrohr_069.htm http://zielfernrohr.b.la9.jp/zielfernrohr_070.htm

Sorry, I have no experience in adjusting ZF41 scope since no guns are allowed in Japan. Perhaps this link to the other forum might help you. http://forums.gunboards.com/showthread.php?374480-zf-41-adjustment

    ZF41 Study

A Heer soldier is in a tropical uniform with K98k-Zf41 Zielfernrohrkarabiner on a hand-made working table. The ZF41 is clearly shown to be Type2 and also the marking type is “cxn D”. I have noticed most of the wartime photo shows ZF41 Type1, while Type2 (or ZF41/1) are rare. See also...

    Sniper Pictures

I brush-upped my memory. The difference is that the objective bell is in different piece or in one piece with the main tube. The pictured one here is: Hensoldt Wetzlar DIALYTAN pre-war commercial 3 piece I understand pre-war and early bmj are 3, late bmj (74500- from my old database) and post...

    ZF41 Study

ZF41 Production Years I have estimated roughly the production years of ZF41 series scopes as shown in the following diagram. As I had been saying, ZF40 and ZF40* are NOT the fore runner of ZF41. I believe there is no doubt on this, but opinions are always welcome. For more information...

    ZF41 Study

I am always learning and I have to correct myself again. The erector lenses of ZF41/1 were not doublets but single (double-convex) lenses. So once again, ZF41/1 has 5 lenses in 4 groups. Here is a conclusion of my current understandings. I have made a diagram showing the internal difference of...

    ZF41 Study

Number of lenses I have realized that I had made a misunderstanding on the lens system of ZF41 and ZF41/1. 2 erecting lenses inside the erector cell are both doublets, which means there are 4 elements in 2 groups. So here is the correction ZF41 has 9 elements (lenses) in 6 groups. 2+1 in...

    zf41 can for discussion

I have checked my cans and realized that the painting method of the green cans are the same as the tan cans. Probably they are sprayed after the can assembly, with the web loop masked with something. The tan paint is thicker than the green, and the coloring work together with the can...

    zf41 can for discussion

Very interesting discussion! I have been wondering about those “late war” ordnance tan cans for a long time. From my observation, they are all well made, not like those poor repros, but compared with the ordinary green types, they are generally roughly constructed and painted. The paint is...
