Hi. I want to get your thoughts on this ZF41 scope with mount. It's got several different numbers on the parts, is it just mismatched or are some of the parts/numbers post war add-ons? And most importantly, is it original? The seller wants the equivalent to 300 USD for the scope with mount.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

looks ok. missing the roller assy. and screw. Not sure where you will find one. Not sure what those markings mean on that top flat area either ?

scope has seen postwar use in another army. 300 USD is ok if you do not mind the postwar stamp and the missing part. I would.

Hello,

you might grab this one. scopes are in the 400+ range mounts 200+ you can buy a repro roller set from the AAS sniper guy in France I Think for 60-75USD been a while.

The scope is ZF41 Type1, early model made around 1942, with rare two piece rear rain shield. The mount is original one matched with rifle serial#8116L, not unused stocked original ones you see often. There are originally 3 numbers on a set. Scope#, rifle# and mount#. 300 USD is very nice price. Even a repro costs more.

I believe the post war stamp is only 1874L on the mount. I have never heard Norwegian or other army used ZF41 post war. Someone please tell me more info on that.

I have a ZF41 with a two piece rear rainshield. I always thought the rainshield was a bad repro.

To avoid misunderstandings, this is “two piece rear rain shield”.

The upper is a normal type, and the lower is a two piece. You can rotate the rear end to close the rectangular opening.
