Trying to Authenticate this BCD Sniper

Haven't posted in here much, I deal with a lot of members in other forums and groups.

A gentleman whom I work closely with came into this and we are trying to validate what we can. Would love any help we can get, British Commonwealth is my specialty so I'm a little out of my leauge with something potentially worth this much.

Heavy photo dump to follow.

Strictly from a non-expert POV, the colours of the parts are strangely uniform, unlike something 80+ years old stored in varying, sometime poor conditions. the barrel in particular, but the bolt sleeve as well.

Nothing, he got it from a friend with health issues to sell, and we had our suspicions (refinished). Hence us wanting to verify anything before attempting to sell, as he wouldn't want to screw anyone over.
I'm sure there are reenactors out there who would be thrilled to have a phosphate sniper clone, will probably pay more than any collector.

I think it’s completely fake. Don’t like anything about it.
Isn't that scope the same style with the tube turn dial bullet drop adjustment a SS used scope only or are there legit examples of army issue rifles using that scope with factory sniper builds?

obviously refinished / have you removed the scope base from the receiver, to examine the receiver. ????

looks like they re-did the barrel to match the upper mount. The 5 on the 45 has been added. The altered ser # is getting into federal crimes ect. Avoid this turd like the plague. This isnt the first we have seen where the rifle was made to match the mount.

May explain why the remaining barrel markings are shallow and machining marks are subdued

It looks like an original DOW scope. The SS used an early version on the double claw. Sauer also used a slightly different variation on their long side rail and then we see another variation on some Gustloff long side rails.
