Trying to Authenticate this BCD Sniper

It looks like an original DOW scope. The SS used an early version on the double claw. Sauer also used a slightly different variation on their long side rail and then we see another variation on some Gustloff long side rails.
Interesting thanks for the info!

in pic 8/10 of the 1st group (barrel sn) it looks like the barrel isn’t fully seated against the receiver?
both the firing proof & e/749 look suspiciously deep next to the almost invisible barrel code (bcd!) & shield.
AND look like the fake Polish stamps, can you see the hooks on the FP swaz?

I’ve seen the barrel shoulder not fully “seated” to the receiver on quite a few late war guns, mainly BNZ and BCD codes.

The barrel was scrubbed of its markings (you can see the faint remnants of the barrel codes) and it seems clear that the rifle was “humped” with the intention of it being numbered for the mount. 100% like you said, that FP is fake. A terrible choice of fake FP punch for all the work put into this thing.

As to the legalities.. a bcd45 would not have a receiver serial originally. The barrel can be scrubbed and renumbered to kingdom come and it’s not illegal.
