PTR44 Semi-Auto MP44

That was me... Now I'll have to read the threads I cruised over before to see exactly what I'll need to make this one work if it's still original...

No problem s with parts anymore

I bought a bunch of parts from Dingo's company and they are fine. Some blued, some in the white. When you see the quality and fit of their $85 buttstock ferrule, you'll never save any MP44 ferrule in your watch list on eBay or Gunporker anymore, other than for entertainment purposes.

Thank you for your suport!! I am back in USA in 2 weeks, with more parts

Congratulations that was a great deal for you, most sell for way more than that.

Thank you... I honestly didn't think I'd win... Ive been building several different SMGs and figured waiting for the new ones to cross the border or build from parts were my only options. I still have an original loader and tool from like 30 years ago! Ha Ha

I concur! I saw first hand at a battle last year but didn't know they were thanks to Dingo...

if you want that PTR-44 to purr I highly suggest you contact Pete ( shortfal ) and let him take a look, once he has diagnosed the issues, you can order from Dingo.
yes I ordered numerous parts from Dingo for my MP-44 semi-auto build, they are quality parts.

Much appreciated! I got several closeups and it looks like it's already been some what upgraded based on studying earlier parts of this thread and elsewhere. Still, won't know for sure until I live and blank fire it... Many thanks to everyone that contributed here and elsewhere!

Not sure what the "bottom feeder" comment towards Jerry is about, he has always treaded me fairly and is very helpful with assistance when needed. Harry

When these were announced, I didn't have all of the money saved up yet. So I contacted Jerry to offer a very nice matching G43 with an original (but not matching to the rifle) ZF4 and mount as a partial trade towards a PTR44. The scope was crystal clear and it came with original lens caps (pristine), bands and windage knob cover as well. The entire setup was worth right around 5K at the time. Of course I didn't expect to get retail on the trade and I was willing to let it go for considerably less but I knew what I had. He proceed to ask me why all us "bottomfeeders" were contacting him offering him "junk" for such fine rifles as he was selling. He told me (without seeing or asking for pictures of any kind) that my rifle and scope was worth no more than 1500 and that I was wasting his time. He went on to explain to me that he was used to dealing with people who regularly spend tens of thousand of dollars at a time and reiterated that he was tired of us bottomfeeders contacting him and essentially wasting his time. That conversation told me all I needed to know about willconord. He's one of those guys who believes everything he has is gold and all you have is scrap steel. I wouldn't offer him a drink of water if he was dying in the desert.

So I am to assume that these new BD44 op rods for $650 are now properly hardened? I'm not asking to be rude or imply anything; I'm just making sure. If so, it would seem to me that this would be a better path to follow to replace the original ones on the PTR44. The same question would apply to the bolt. Also, I assume that these still need to be fitted to the rifle and it's not as simple as just buying the parts and sliding them into the receiver?
