Am i missing something? The largest mechanical difference is using an HK trigger pack. It is still using a tilt block mechanism like the original. Big whoop. By no means is this an AR15.
We have all seen the video. What’s your point at no point in that video did they say $6000?
Yeah, and also I'm not really sure where you guys are getting the $6000+ numbers. I saw on a video the guy at the PSA booth say it was going to be around $2000+, and in my opinion I think that's a fair price.
I do dislike the mag but as functioning beyond that I can off-load the mag in under 15s.I paid $400 minus the box I enjoy shooting it it works well but what would of been nice was 22 magnum..But then again, that POS GSG .22 I own set me back $500 and it's just Zamack with a plastic mag. But came in a nice wooden box.
Well to be fair it's not supposed to be a carbon copy of the original stg-44 but a rifle heavily based on it enough to appear & function like an original stg-44, it's more of an interpretation of it in modern times that designed to be more affordable & practicle to own for the average gun owner, & believe it or not there is alot of interest in this rifle by many other than those interested in it as a collectors piece.I've actually seen in comments of articles or YouTube videos a lot of interest and willingness to purchase the rifle. I agree with k98dave that it probably will sell well if they make a well enough functioning rifle. I mean the STG44 is a very well known and at least aesthetically/historically well liked rifle so I'm sure the offer of buying a look a like for around the 2000-3000 price point is probably going to make a lot of enthusiasts interested in it.
But its a shame they altered some parts of the design for reasons I don't know. I'm interested in knowing why they gave the action a safety notch like that on the MP40 and why the magazine release is on the wrong side. The rear iron sight looks wrong too.
This is exactly how I feel as well. Still, more power to the guys that want this thing. Variety is the spice of life...I hope it works out, especially in this increasingly hostile gun climate.I'll explain myself better...
You are welcome to spend $2K or $6K on this firearm, I speak only for my personal opinion.
I wouldn't.
I'd build a more accurate facsimile (from Tor's parts) and enjoy the rifle for it's historical shooting idiosyncrasies, of which there are many.
I've done thousands of rounds through our constructed-semi MP44's - I actually smile when shooting it.
If you want a system that reacts, cycles and shoots (trigger) like a modern combat weapon, I'd buy an AR15 or such a rifle.
The MP44 wasn't finished it was a "work in progress," which is why it is so interesting to me.
It makes a lot of noise when it fires, there are moving parts that move a lot, it's just a very interesting mechanism to shoot.
Again, I encourage any company venturing into the firearms market with a new design, it's a brutal business and I don't envy them at all, I hope they kill it!
The original MP44 has a special place for me though.
I'll sign out here, as I know I'm a bit of an odd one - peace.
The guy making it is a geek who wants to nerd out on having different calibers and barrels. Giant mistake. They should have made a clone that at least looks like real thing.I've actually seen in comments of articles or YouTube videos a lot of interest and willingness to purchase the rifle. Guess only time will tell. But with fat Mac still involved I hope PSA keeps close tabs on everything. BTW I took the time to scan the lawsuit/counter suit between H&M and sub-contractor Ture Position Machine LLC.
Nothing I saw looked like it was in H&M favor like he claimed, more like both sides got tired of making lawyers richer. Figures
That was related to bringing more kits, We will make complete 44 s. The 44 will be build t after i have finished some more MP38 sI think he said the demand present didn’t warrant the effort, could be wrong thoug.
