Mauser SVW45

Scratch? Thats the friggin' Grand Canyon, what a piece of crap, anyone would pass on that one...also there is a scratch on the front band. And that chatter on the back end of the front of receiver, worker must have been drunk...

Seriously, cool rifle, crisp...love that two tone bolt!

Love these late war code switches, then you got the svwMB's...I am lucky enough to have one of those...

Awesome rifle and an excellent pairing with that P38. I really like the look of the walnut stocked Kriegsmodells, nice pickup!

you can’t get a better illustration of the classic MO line on the right side of the bolt cut out, textbook example. Great photography, too!

Great wood! A stock blank, like that, for a sporting rifle would possibly cost $800-$1000.

I would LOVE to have an K98 that looks that rough! If you decide to sell it, let me know. The problem is, I very well may not be able to afford it!

yellowkid: I need educating. What do you mean by “chatter”. I have seen that term used in other threads.
To me, it means tool marks left in the material due, usually, to incorrect feed or speed of the cutting tool.
I have a feeling that, here, it means something else.

You see that rough corn cob looking surface around the pistol grip area? When the stock comes off the pantograph machine, that's the way it looks. In normal time they finish sand the stock on big wheels or belts (there are pics of this in BBOTW).

Later war they bypassed this step often to speed and streamline production, leaving the "chatter" as its called...
