1941 byf SN: 961 matching with Eagle 655 markings except for bolt and parts thereof and handguard. Bolt and bolt parts are numbered 300g & have Eagle 214 markings. NIM (brought back by my father-in-law in September 1945). Barrel code 40R69. Laminated stock with machined flat butt-plate. Missing cleaning-rod & front sight hood. Nice original sling.
Where could I find a "real" cleaning rod & hood?
s/n 32954
red glue laminate stock
All numbers match but front barrel band font looks different
Stock has eagle over large H on right side under the metal firing pin removal disc.
unclear stamp under grip of stock, behind trigger guard.
The rear sight has a rail on the left, looks like a ZF41 scope attachment point? probably a later add on, as I understand there are many faked up marksman/sniper rifles about.
Rifle shoots pretty well, and groups OK. The bore looks a bit dark but the rifling is clear and strong.
Would consider re-barreling it in the future, as I doubt its worth that much historically.
Any advice most welcome, I know very little about K98's

Someone has renumbered the bolt.
Here is front barrel band (numbers look a different font from rest of rifles serials) and the floor plate and housing.
