LSR restored!

Bought a heavily sporterised LSR on gunbroker late last October and just got the scope/mount set up to put it back in complete original configuration. About 9 months total start to finish. It's a JP sauer assembled one, #935x. Bolt is original JP sauer all matching to itself #473x. Scope mount is not JP sauer though. Otherwise there are no serial numbers on anything - sourced all un-numbered parts that are correct per the other LSR in the forum here just 30 rifles ahead and all matching. Overall very pleased! Another LSR re-enters the ranks and should be intact for a few more generations now. Huge thanks to the members here for helping me source some of the hardest to find parts!

Everything is original parts with the exceptions:
-the stock is not an original LSR stock (but is correct 'C' menzel stock) that I had inlet
-the checkered buttplate is a reproduction
-the bolt assembly is reblued

Where we started was pretty much just a stripped barrel, receiver, and the scope base assembly.

Anybody have a lead on the scope adjustment tools and how-to guide? Reproduction is totally fine. Want to shoot this one and get it sighted in but don’t know how..

windage is on rear of mount, elevation on scope dial. no special tools needed

There's a special tool that was made to do this but originals are pretty rare to find. I bought a repro one off of Red Star Mountain and it works perfectly. Best $18 you could spend. I don't recommend any of their other stuff but that tool does what it's supposed to

Buy a 1/4 tap handle. It’s as strong as anything you can find. It won’t strip the adjuster off or mar the finish. It can be adjusted to fit with virtually no play.

May I ask, is the cocking piece assembly (especially the safety) matching to the bolt? I would not expect this safety on a X block Sauer, but a milled down one.

It is. Also in the sniper pic sticky section there is all matching #905x that has the same safety.

Georg , I am curious why you would not expect this bolt to have a long key safety , but would expect it to be a milled down type ??.

For whatever reason I remember the Sauer LSR to have the milled down safety, therefore I was curious on the key safety on a Sauer. In which blocks did Sauer have the long safety?

You find them mingled in multiple letter blocks . I have definitely seen more milled down than the LKSafety
