Working on obtaining a nice Single Claw BMJ scope rig just out of the woodwork. According to Dave its an early BMJ model with the 163 H on front mount. Anybody out there know where the rifle is? Check your bunkers!

Single Claw

Nice find. Those are hard to find. I'll let you know if I ever see the rifle. Please post pictures.

It is like my 66XXX Range BMJ with later Saddle And Dial Configuration . Example Pics of Mine .

Nice scope Dave. Around what serial number do you see the later saddle start showing up?

Edit: understood wrongly. Yes, the rifle is out there. But no idea where I got the pics from.

Single Claw

Hopefully it is his or someone who is a member here. Nice to see guys here hit the lottery.

Good luck. This will be a awesome reunion if you can get the rifle and scope together. I'm super jealous. I want to get a matching Single Claw.

Has the rifle owner been located? If I had the scope I would be begging for the rifle. That is where the problems begin. I have been there, done that.

I "did the right thing" and let go of a Kokura 99 sniper, about 60 known, since the scope owner would not budge, no way no how. Found out later he had another matching rifle/scope combo and apparently the only two known. Guess he had to have them both. I loved the rifle and wanted to keep it scope or not and the one I got in trade had a stock refinish and I will never be happy about that deal. Live and learn. I got a spare sniper bolt and a monopod, which is not even enough compensation for the stock refinish problem IMO.

I just called and left a voicemail for Bill. If it's his gun, he now knows about the scope. Will let you all know if I hear anything.

I know that is/was Bill`s SC . His Rifle is 168H the Scope Steve knows about is 163H Close but not a match . But Bill may have interest in the one Steve knows of , one reason being the Rings on Bill`s are Not Numbered . I can't`say if they are UnNumbered originals or not , but I some how doubt that. The Set Steve knows of may not match cond. of Bill`s Rifle . The serial is very close to rifle though . Look forward to hearing more on this . Best Regards

I have the scope in question. 163 H. It came out of an attic in a small town in Georgia. It was found in a shoe box along with a SA Dagger. The boy's grandfather supposedly brought them back. He is to get me more info on his grandfather. Unit, medals, etc. I will post pictures as soon as I figure out how.

I disagree. Look again at the pictures. The 3 is really sloppy stamped. But follow the link to the original pictures, especially the safety of this rifle unveil that it's really the matching rifle.

Looking forward to pictures of the scope! And I'm really hoping for a happy end for both the scope and the rifle!

Here are some pics. Not the best as I am very lacking in photographic skills.
