Gewehr 43s ever damaged by magazine?

I was thinking about converting a mg 13 mag for my ac 44 gewehr 43, but wanted to make sure that using the converted mag wouldn’t hurt the rifle. Has there been any examples of gewehr 43s being damaged by magazines?

The MG13 magazine doesnt always feed properly in a G/K43 at least the ones that I have seen that have been modified to work. I dont see any way it could damage the rifle unless you pulled a Bubba and altered the rifle in some way.

That makes sense. I couldn’t think of any ways it would damage the rifle but wanted to be sure.
Thank you!

I made a g/k 43 mag out of a ZB26 mag (20 rds?) that works very well. I sold all my rifles last year. I saw it sitting in the closet last week.

As far as I know there are some repro G43 mags for sale.
Repro mags tend to be pretty OK. I've owned a few, they seemed largely free of the kind of issues you see with the likes of cheaper M1 Carbine mags or repro Gew88 clips etc.
