Hello everybody,
What is a fair price to pay for a nice bnz 4 K98k? Rifle is 95% with some handling marks on the stock and the original sling. Totally unscrewed with example.
Please help!

Hi.
I know you said 95% a few handling marks and unscrewed with but to make an accurate appraisal, several Quality pictures are the best way to be able to evaluate an item that can’t be seein in person.
Things like the overall type and quality of finish, stock condition, bands and stock markings, butt plate, serial fonts and locations, bore/chamber and bolt face condition. FP also the trigger and sear.
Barrel markings, receiver markings……

There are some very knowledgeable bnz collectors on this board that can accurately evaluate that specific rifle but more is needed to be able to do it.

I can't get pictures. You will have to go by my description alone. I can post pics if I make the purchase.

be extremely careful.. Hopefully you know what you are looking at. High condition bnz4 rifles aren't easy to find and the few Ive seen sold sold high. Not saying you cant find a deal out there that's why it's so hard to state a price.

Sir, I am sorry to inform you but, without photos, price estimates are as useless as tits on a bull.

There is NO realistic way to value the weapon,

Please do not take offense, but you can, and will get screwed, without good photos to vet the rifle.

Assuming (which it probably is) a force matched and reblued rifle $600 to $800. If it is actually what you say probably $2500 to $3000

i saw a real nice totally unmessed with BNZ4 heer issue last summer in a retail shop for 2700. was gone the next day when i went back to pickup something else

As that old adage goes..... A picture is worth 1000 words. I'm not trying to be a smart a$$. Just trying to stress the absolute importance of quality photos for us to give you our best assessment.

I have a general idea of a value, but the numbers mentioned are higher than I would have guessed. I generally do not actively look to buy K98s, but when a nice one comes along at a good price, I grab it.

Is the seller flexible on price? If you could get it for $2k or so then you’d be getting a good price… but I wouldn’t say you’d be ripping the seller off at all.

If you do get it please post pics! Got us all curious.

I don't understand why it is so difficult to get a simple question answered. I didn't ask for many of the responses that have been provided.

I for one never understood why these odd 'games' need to be played out. Don't have pictures? CAN'T get pictures? REFUSE to share pictures? Like the guy who puts electrical tape over the serial number. What's the big mystery?

As to the question. If it is what is described, $2000 would be a good price.
