MG42 reloads
Well, I found a good load for the MG42 in 7.62. 42.5 grains of IMR4064 with military brass and pulled 147 FMJ bullets worked well.
My buddy had his 1919 working great in 30/06 with lead cast bullets that were gas checked and coated with high tech coating. No leading or issues of any kind after we put over 600 rounds through it.
The problem is that he is using a single cavity mold for casting? So, I have been thinking of trying lead cast bullets in the MG42 in 308?
Any recommendations on a multicavity mold and load?
Pat
PS, I just ordered the Lee quick trim die in 308 and 8mm Kurz with power quick trim. I was suprised that Lee would have an 8mm Kurz QT die? A few months ago, I got the 8mm Kurz crimp die from Lee. I guess that I am not the only one shooting 8mm Kurz. I sure would like to get some Prvi 125 bullets for reloading.
