1936 bSw

I sent this to Mowzerluver after I saw the 1936 and BSW and lost it. but then looked closer and saw an eagle clutching a swastika on the receiver and said hold up that can't be right. And not being able to see the other markings clearly my excitement quickly faded

Red glue laminate stock too. The 1936 doesn't match up to the one in Karabiner 98k either.

Rifle as a whole is a complete parts gun. I don't know its story but not much makes sense about this rifle. The only thing that catches the eye is the receiver on this one

Seller is a known humper, and that’s a huge steaming pile.

It's a flaky auction post too. No real description or anything to "hold him to" in regards to the piece. Also conveniently doesn't show serials, etc. He does throw out pics supporting the title and leaves the rest to imagination.

Every gun that he has for sale has some serious issues. Stay away. Look at the bolt cut out and stock inletting on this gem. Jesus.

Between his guns I see issues with receiver markings, refinished metal, refinished stocks, parts buffed into the white, possible renumbering, holes from a peepsight that are still left open, etc etc. Just complete trash.

I was of course being facetious. The sight hood slots wouldn't bother me, many pre-war rifles that went back for repairs were probably fitted with hoods to be to military standards. My first "damn" moment was what looks like an "a" suffix. If bSw started a production run in 1936 I am guessing they would not have had over 10,000 rifles but again, just a guess. The receiver just looks messed with to me. I spit out my coffee when I got the email from BShiebs first thing this morning. I did tell him a while back in a joking manner if he finds a 36 bsw to let me know, not thinking he ever would.... bad rifle or not it still made me pinch a hole in my chair with the "clinch force" seeing it went to buy it now. I'm an old busted up Marine who bails off the computer every night at 8pm so I miss a lot of auction stuff. Until further inspection, then I could relax more. No early Weimar droops to be seen, and serial number made my heart sink.

Sorry if I got your heart pumping a little too quick  I know mine was hammering there for a second

The first thing I thought was odd was a rare rifle and no bids at $1200. Guy's feedback isn't exactly stellar either, nobody's bidding on anything he has.

So he ground and restamped the receiver? Is that what we're looking at here? The font certainly doesn't match the known '36 BSW...

It appears to be just that. Nothing about it matches the known example or makes any sense. I fell for it for a split second.

The humpmeister should have bought Karem and Steves books. Invaluable for catching turds like this.

On reflection we should be glad he didn't.

Come on guys, your telling me you didn't want the rarest of the rare I mean the only one to surface was a RC, You could have had the real deal LOL!
