Took me a long while to build off and on but the sense of accomplishment is great. Dont shoot it much because at 26lbs its on the weighty side. That and 8mm isnt getting any cheaper. Nice to check off something on the bucket list though and its purdy to look at ;)

Just to add a bit of information on torch cut rebuilds. It is possible to build a functional 42 with mismatched torch cut pieces. The first thing that you should do is get prints for ALL the measurements. I lost the data on all that I had but if you dont have the dimensions you will have...

37 S/42 Vet bringback Main parts serialed 1680f. Bolt mismatch but matching to it self. Stock correct walnut flat buttplate Luftwaffe E63 marked but mismatched. Looking for matching upper and lower band or unmarked E63 replacements.

Believe it or not I was going to hot blue the whole thing and just temporarily blued the whole thing with oxpho blue and it turned out great. That slightly used look.

This was the result of a 5 year off and on project. It groups better than my S42 K98 ;) Yugo front half. German 3 cut rear. My first ever attempt at welding ;) AR15 FCG and my own bolt hold open design. And my mother in law likes it ;)
