This may not have much collector value but I find it interesting. It's been through a depot (or several) in its day. It appears to be made from three guns. The barrelled action, all the bands, and the trigger group are from one gun, the stock and nuttplate from another and the bolt from yet...

As luck would have it, I don't have any unit marked 98s!

This is one of my favorites. All matching gun with a good bore. Surprisingly no unit markings.

I think I'm getting the hand of this picture thing. All matching gun. Probably has the best imperial stamps on the stock of the 98s I own.

I agree with the above. It does have a turk stamp on the extractor, but I don't think that is significant. I'll just shoot it, it has an excellent bore. I'll post some more interesting 98's pretty soon, with better light.

Ok, what is the minimum picture size here?

It is now k98 dimensions in a laminate stock. The metal finish is some sort of black phosphate. Is there a CZ lion stamped on the receiver? The only other mark that is questionable is there seems to be a turk stamp on the extractor. I'm wondering who did the modifications and when. Was it done...

I'm guessing there are remnants of a shell in the chamber that has suffered head case separation.
