I acquired a ship home crate at SOS, and inside is a matching name capture paper to a 9037 i or L P38. Maybe someone has the pistol. Will properly photo and post the crate and paper later.

There are lots of unissued 43 dated pieces. That’s a nice one, hard to say if the frog is original of added. But the frog is probably $200 on its own. It’s a nice piece.

The fakery is also rife in guns which you do collect, there’s just a better/ closet knit community. A lot of knowledgeable uniform guys etc won’t bother to ca stuff out on a lot of platforms as it isn’t worth the fight I guess. Which is sad.

Factory helmets are not really an issue other than price. And faking has ruined most of this hobby, not just helmets. Uniforms, cloth head gear, even uniform cutoffs are being faked. Lol It’s kinda insane we all stick with it. Haha

There is a definite lack of wear to the paint. Especially commonly heavily worn on the dome. I don’t hate it, there are camos with little wear. Like Wayne said, would need a good in hand. It’s different than a rifle. The helmet shell is real, liner you can inspect the pins for original...
