Has anyone seen such unusual markings on the fireguard and scabbard?

Replacement spare flashguard, Spandau 4 proofed. The B on scabbard could be refurbishment stamp.

When period could be too replacements. normally there should be prior 1940/41 assembly numbers and proofs, but post this date i would assume even non marked ones could be real.

That's right. You have a good eye.😉

Could you post images of your blades maker code, all the other waffenamts and serial numbers?
Latch and button marked?

What about grip plates without markings?

Period original phenolic grip scales should have circular mold markings from the manufacturing process as well as the makers' logo, code, and/or the MPD designation. Mold number markings are usually observed as well. Depending upon the year of assembly many will also be stamped with a WaA and/or an assembly number. My thoughts only .....

They look original, which makes it even more strange.

i would assume even non marked ones could be real.

Even the latest red phenolic grip scales with embedded wood chip and fiber material are maker marked with a stylized G (unknown producer) and circular mold markings with numbers.

Personally i couldnt confirm the originality here, but the condition of brown color and design looks ok to me. But not holding in hand. Possible that they should be have molding circle marking. Possible even GDR could made postwar this part.

A little quiz🙂 Which of them have marking?
