In the second picture I posted, is the crack below the recoil lug concerning?

A As long as I can get some rounds in occasionally without hurting myself.

Is it easy to take out the recoil lugs?

Gotcha. Yeah I’ll definitely take a harder look tonight. I was just starting to panic that I bought my first ever Mauser and wouldn’t even be able to shoot it safely!! Thank you for talking me off the ledge.

Bought this 1943 non matching Czech made Mauser. First ever buy, and after doing some harder inspection I see recoil setback. Is this safe to shoot or should I look into a gunsmith repair or a new stock?
