The condition in the picture is the state after purchase. The pistol is very dried out, it probably sat somewhere for many years before it hit the market. The magazine seems ordinary for late war; I didn't pay much attention to it, but I didn’t notice any proof marks. Attaching a pic below:

Finally, I got lucky and managed to get one of the last wartime Radom Vis pistols produced (mid K-block). It’s a bit worn and ugly as hell, but still a decent piece of history. Here’s a picture, straight from the joy I’m feeling right now!

I’m glad that at least serial number turned out to be interesting. Do you think it’s worth publishing similar posts? A rifle might sometimes seem uninteresting due to later modifications, but on the other hand, it might have one interesting detail worth noting... I see these "H" marked rifles...

I came across an interesting G98 while browsing local auctions. It appears to be another example of a Hannover-built G98. Although both pistols appear to have the same serial number at first glance, they were produced in different years. The one shown above belongs to the first alphabet series, manufactured between February and March of 1942. The one below is from the second alphabet series, completed around...

It was not... that one comes from the private collection. Not for sale anyways. Serial no. is "13409" and I'm the author of the pics above.

Hello, I'm struggling with the ID of this G98 sling. Can someone help me out? It was attached to this 1918 Spandau G98 but I don't think that is an original setup. I believe it could be an export G98 sling, but I haven't been able to identify the exact one. Perhaps someone could recognise it?

The eagle has landed... it has finally arrived. I picked it up today, and it looks even better live than it did in the auction photos. :) I'll definitely do a more detailed session soon, just wanted to share my happiness!
