    Radom VIS K-block/1945

I really like the worn-out look a lot. I was just thinking of removing a bit of rust and oiling it up—wasn't really planning on doing much more. But I'm happy to hear your thoughts! That's my first phosphate finished one, no experience with what to do and what not to do :) What are the best...

    Radom VIS K-block/1945

Sure thing! Sorry for the slight delay—I had a busy week! 😃 I still haven't had enough time to decide what to do about the cleaning/restoration. Any ideas or reccommendations? What would you do if you were me with that Vis?

    Radom VIS K-block/1945

The condition in the picture is the state after purchase. The pistol is very dried out, it probably sat somewhere for many years before it hit the market. The magazine seems ordinary for late war; I didn't pay much attention to it, but I didn’t notice any proof marks. Attaching a pic below:

    Radom VIS K-block/1945

Finally, I got lucky and managed to get one of the last wartime Radom Vis pistols produced (mid K-block). It’s a bit worn and ugly as hell, but still a decent piece of history. Here’s a picture, straight from the joy I’m feeling right now!

    Gewehr 98, 1917 Spandau - Hannover "H"

I’m glad that at least serial number turned out to be interesting. Do you think it’s worth publishing similar posts? A rifle might sometimes seem uninteresting due to later modifications, but on the other hand, it might have one interesting detail worth noting... I see these "H" marked rifles...

    Gewehr 98, 1917 Spandau - Hannover "H"

I came across an interesting G98 while browsing local auctions. It appears to be another example of a Hannover-built G98. According to the description, it's matching, though it's likely been reworked a bit after WWI. I'll request additional photos and share them here once I receive them from the...

    Radom twins

Although both pistols appear to have the same serial number at first glance, they were produced in different years. The one shown above belongs to the first alphabet series, manufactured between February and March of 1942. The one below is from the second alphabet series, completed around...

    1918 Amberg Gewehr 98

Hello again. I had a bit of free time today, and since I was photographing another piece (Spandau 1918 from Hannover), I'm sharing a few more detailed photos of that Amberg again.

Interesting Spandau 1918, I need your advice...

And the last few photos. Compared to the original state, I have replaced that strange sling with a different, more classic German one that I had in my collection.

    Strange G98 sling ID

Hello, I'm struggling with the ID of this G98 sling. Can someone help me out? It was attached to this 1918 Spandau G98 but I don't think that is an original setup. I believe it could be an export G98 sling, but I haven't been able to identify the exact one. Perhaps someone could recognise it?

Interesting Spandau 1918, I need your advice...

The eagle has landed... it has finally arrived. I picked it up today, and it looks even better live than it did in the auction photos. :) I'll definitely do a more detailed session soon, just wanted to share my happiness!

Interesting Spandau 1918, I need your advice...

Are we interested in seeing more of these "H" rifles? A couple of days ago, I found another one in a Facebook group, but it's in much worse condition. It was manufactured in Spandau in 1917, reworked by Mauser Werke in 1935 (S/42G), and sometime after the war, it was painted black and...

Interesting Spandau 1918, I need your advice...

Good news, I was lucky and finally bought it. Now all the paperwork needs to be completed, and hopefully, in a couple of weeks/months, the import will be finished. I will definitely get back to you guys with more pictures once the rifle arrives. This particular rifle survived in Germany in...
