    BNZ 42 Bolt looks bad

You are correct, the bolt is bad. Decent job but humped.

Unknown scope rail mount on K98K

IMO an original sporterized swept back. This is worthy of a restoration. What is interesting is that SN. 18 LSR prototype just was purchased at the Tulsa gun show. Small world....

Reichsbahn Narrow Blade Sells for 776.67US

I thought that the shelf had been raised but nowhere near this craziness. Nice RBD. WT. marked commercial but for that kind of money...just wow.

    Legacy Collectibles - Bad K98k

With no pics of the stock SN hard to tell. Bolt is fine as is rest of action and trigger housing group. Front band is definitely bad. To me the rear sight base is problematic, as it's too late for that year of production. Too many issues for almost 3K.

    Split Code or Rework S/174 & S/176

I believe the rig is original or period so I respectfully disagree with Andy. He is correct in that these reworked examples are tough to come by. There is no evidence of any grinding and the surface finish looks original (scabbard). What is interested is why overstamp the spine with the same '36'.

Recycled Ajack Scope and Tan Can

Here is another recycled bmj coded scope assembly. In this case the original rifle serial is stamped under the rear base. Likely an earlier HT assembly.

    Split Code or Rework S/174 & S/176

Typical German exceptionalism --- add this to the pile. Interested rig.

Recycled Ajack Scope and Tan Can

Generally I am assuming the entire assembly has been reissued as opposed to just the rings. Obviously recycling just the rings would require an enormous amount of time and labor. The bigger issue is what happened to the rifle the scope was issued to.

    Authentic or repro?

The leather cover has worn off that buckle. Most are seam welded but this appears to have bypassed that step.

Mauser K98k High Turret with Matching Numbers Mount

Georg, I went back and checked the images and the scope on P222 is indeed a H/4x60 marked and not CAD coded. I missed that detail but correctly identified the company. Scope serial is 41656.

Mauser Oberndorf 71/84 8mm rimmed prototype rifle

I have added new images of the rifle. We have identified Mauser as the source of the project based on input from Jon Speed. Here is a copy of the correspondence between Nathaniel and Dr. Storz and Jon Speed. I have also attached two drawings that Nate created detailing the unique rifling and...

Editorial: "Blame it on the book"

I was attending the OVMS shot this past weekend in Ohio and an interesting event happened - basically being at the right place and right time. I was standing at a table and a local "reseller" was complaining to one of our forum members about one of his sales that went south. I will not elaborate...

Recycled Ajack Scope and Tan Can

Thanks to some pay it forward by a fellow member, I was able to purchase the rig. Another recycled turret scope for the database.

    BYF 44 Sharp Shooter

If the scope is a beveled roller variant then its worth about 800-900 by itself in good condition. The rifle is worth about 1500 to 1800. Figure if matching worth about 3500.00 but you need a bolt as the one in it is trash. B.
