Spreewerk grips should only have 5 broken lines where as Walther and Mauser have the 6 broken lines around the screw.

Whats the opinion on cost of one of these RC pistols? Had one come up in my area and they wanted $900 as well. $400-$600 maybe?

It has not been cold blued. Magazine floor plate does not have any numbering. Seller was originally asking 975 but would take 800. Almost impossible to find that in my area. I check local sites daily..

I enjoy going to a few shows here in Kansas City. Typically you know what guys to look for but its mostly all newer stuff. We do however have a nice one once a year held by the Missouri Valley Arms Collectors Association.

Sure enough is. Looked up the reproduction and its same number and everything. Auction house has horrible pictures and little to no description. Took a gamble and will see if they'll take it back.

I personally like to match with dates. I would say it would be a win win for me. I would look for a 1943 holster and then be on the lookout for another P38. Of course a 1944 variant.
