    K98k Converted from Karab. 98b/Gew. 98?

Paul, I was hoping you would chime In. Would you be of the same impression with my rifle, that the modification was not German done. (I think you have the data on mine, including barrel markings in your trends work) My thoughts, maybe wishful thinking, is the two are German mods, perhaps very...

    K98k Converted from Karab. 98b/Gew. 98?

I also have a RC 98b that was converted to K98k specifications and retained its original barrel. Mine shows similarities to the OP rifle.h The barrel did not get a new fire proof, but the original Weimar proof is present. Obvious milling marks where the barrel was turned down to K98k profile...

    Polish WZ98a

https://www.proxibid.com/lotinformation/82996035/scarce-polish-wz98a-bolt-action-rifle-by-fb-radom This one went for $2700 (+ 25% buyers premium) if there had been more photos to verify it truly was all matching I would have stayed in. The description mentioned a “m” on the lower band, that...

    Help with bayonet pricing

I have never studied bayonet variations the way I have K98ks, or followed bayonet pricing trends. Over the years I have accumulated quit a number of bayonets, and now I want to thin the heard. I am going to keep one from each year of production (no 1945) and sell the rest. I can just put them...

    ID K98k stocks

I think I have ID’d the first stock in my list, the one with the G 542 in the barrel channel. I believe it is a 1941 byf stock from the 937 Portuguese export contract.

    Finnish KP-31 kits

Moving isn’t fun, but it is nice to find things you had forgotten you had. I bought two of these kits in the late 90’s. The one pictured is the original model used in the Winter war. The other kit is the WWll improved version with the slightly longer barrel and the muzzle device. Any idea what...

    ID K98k stocks

This last one I am pretty sure is post war Yugoslavia. Not sure of the wood type. Not drilled for CR, no takedown washer, but configured for a bayonet lug, so it is not German with that combination. It is K98k length, not shorter like many postwar Yugoslavia stocks.

    ID K98k stocks

Similar to the previous stock. Also walnut, drilled for CR, no take down washer. Bayonet lug is marked e/77. Note the cutout in the barrel channel exposing the inserted CR.

    ID K98k stocks

Picked up several Mauser stocks this weekend, most I was able to determine what rifle they would be correct for. Looking for help with these last four. This one has been heavily sanded, can’t quite made out the acceptance stamps on the right side. The SN in the barrel channel seems to have a...

    Help with holster value

Cleaning out a shed and found these two holsters, along with a lot of other militaria. I believe the first one is a WWll Russian for the Nagant revolver. Must have been captured, notice the notation inside the flap. The second is obviously German, and I am guessing for a PPK, but probably fits...

    Mauser G 33/40 questions

You have a G33/40 from the first year of production. Unfortunately someone decided to modify it. As mentioned the rear sight ladder is missing and a commercial peep sight has been added, necessitating drilling into the receiver. The stock is not correct for a G33/40, it appears to be a modified...
