Do you have a spare buckle too?if you can’t locate one anywhere else, I still have a couple, $42 shipped in the lower 48
Would have to check thatDo you have a spare buckle too?
If so I am interested. I have found one for 10$, but I would probably have to pay more than that in shipping alone. Better to buy both sling and buckle from the same place.Would have to check that
Do you know if they ship outside of the states?Thusly?

They are not at all rare. Now that you know what you need, search for closer source. I did not know you are in Norway. It does not look like either libertytree or that ebay link ships to Norway I'm afraid

Just as an aside, my moms maiden name is Amundsen. My grandfather was Roald’s great nephew.
post a pic when you've finished itMy Stg sling was 54” from buckle to
Tip. I cut mine down to 48” (~122cm) buckle to tip. I cut the original tip off and used it as a template to cut the tip shape into the leather with a sharp razor. I then used Febrings leather dye on the light colored leather I just exposed. Still waiting on the large teardrop leather punch and sling button…
Felt like a bubba cutting up a nice sling, but kept reminding myself these are post war and theres a bunch of them on the surplus market… it will be a good placeholder till I find an original, then it’ll probably be sold
to somebody also looking for a placeholder

Nice! looks almost like the original. Have you cut that pattern into the sling or was it like that?
