    Erfurt 1917 Kar.98 in 7x57?

It is relatively easy to do (if a bonehead like me can do it, so can OP!), and you can likely save yourself $100 in gunsmithing fees. All you need is some Cerrosafe, a large spoon, heat source, digital calipers, and a cartridge reference book.

Late German blued K-block VIS with offset slide legend

Very cool example. Definitely shows that towards the end “anything goes”, as long as it gets to the front.

    1934 Wz.29 Potential Greek Partisan Capture/Rework (Additional Research/Feedback Needed)

100%, it is pure speculation. Unless there was a period photo of a rifle being used with this marking, it is just wishful thinking. That’s why I’m not getting my hopes up.

    1934 Wz.29 Potential Greek Partisan Capture/Rework (Additional Research/Feedback Needed)

Interesting Bruce. Do you by chance have any such photos saved? I’d be curious to see what other firearms were marked with this.

    1934 Wz.29 Potential Greek Partisan Capture/Rework (Additional Research/Feedback Needed)

Photos: I have recently acquired a Wz.29 that piqued my interest. From a general perspective, it isn't a collector piece by any means, the finish above the woodline is mostly gone and is "in the white", bore is somewhat dark and pitted with decent rifling remaining, it has a mismatched rear...

    K98a stock identification and parts

To be honest I am impressed that the previous owner got it to fit up properly! Kar98a stocks are quite few and far between. I’d expect to pay north of $400 for a stock set IF you can find one! I know PPHU Fox in Poland makes repro stocks, but he’s had health issues and LONG wait times as of...

    1915 Erfert kar98a price?

I’m not an expert on pricing, but since you say it is all matching, and assuming it hasn’t been sanded or refinished, definitely $1200 at minimum.

You stole it at that price.

    Polish Wz29 / K29 Short Rifle Research

To be honest I am not entirely sure, as I haven’t had the opportunity to own or disassemble any fully matching wz.29 or K29 short rifles. One of my K98 carbines has a handwritten serial number on the handguard that matches.

    Polish Wz29 / K29 Short Rifle Research

Hello all, I am looking to put together some data on a range of features of the Polish K29/Wz29 Short Rifle over the years of production to see if I can make some sense of when certain features/markings were implemented at what serial number range or year. To help keep my data "clean", I am...

My "Polish Unicorn": 1933 FB Radom Kbk.S.Wz.31 Trainer

Finally had an opportunity to shoot this one today. It was quite a lot of cheap fun to shoot at the range and did quite well at 75 ft. .22 short was so quiet that after my first shot I had to check that I didn’t have a squib.

Gew 98 Night Sights - For Review

Since this aligns with my line of work, a dosimeter (personal self reading dosimeter) would measure a persons exposure to ionizing radiation from the environment that they are exposed to as a whole. These typically are given in units of mrem. The radiation exposure from a luminous sight like...

Lot Of Muzzle Covers - A Few Unknown

So it’s a Wz.29, not a Wz.98. Do you have photos of the 3 muzzle covers you have attempted to use? A significant number of the Polish ones that come up for sale are in relic condition, and the internals are rusted shut which could prevent them from being installed on a rifle. The only way I got...

Lot Of Muzzle Covers - A Few Unknown

Before you do so, I want to confirm, do you indeed have a Wz.98 long rifle (very similar to a Gew.98)? Or do you have a Wz.29 short rifle or K98 carbine? The right muzzle cap is designed for the K98 carbine and Wz.29 short rifle, since they have a “winged” front sight assembly, with a special...

Lot Of Muzzle Covers - A Few Unknown

The style of muzzle cover would similar to this one: https://www.k98kforum.com/threads/gew-98-style-muzzle-protector-country-of-origin.58472/ Several months ago I was bidding on a nice example stamped by Kranc & Lempicki, I bowed out when the bidding went above $250. I have an example of one in...

Gew.98 Style Muzzle Protector - Country of Origin?

Thank you for the confirmation. Fortunately, this one sold for a relatively low price.
