    byf44 ZF41 white glue Kreigsmodell L block

I have checked the meaning of the crossed swords marking again and found out I was a bit wrong. It is the official marking of British inspection of deactivated firearms. Not the marking of a company. I could not find info on the marking on British captured weapons, so if you have any please let...

Hello gents, here is my latest aquisition. Close-up on the rifle. On the scope. The scope is ZF41 type 1. The rifle has laminated stock with flat buttplate, H-upper band and front sight hood. And with the info that the reversible Winteranzug was introduced during the winter of 1942-43, I...

K98k-Zf41 byf44 63105 l Indeed, very beautiful rifle! I also have a K98k-Zf41 byf44 L block white glue Kriegsmodell. Not nice as yours, the stock is in bad condition. And the gun is deactivated. (Note the cross-sword marking of the converting company.) Anyway, I like ZF41 no matter who laughs...

    ZF41 Study

Hi all, I am still sticking to the manuals. I do not have enough evidence to prove that the “Manual B” is a fake, but I would like to show you again that some points are clear without doubt. 1 The scope shown on “Manual B” is not ZF41 but ZF41/1. 2 The scope is made by kov. (The shape of the...

    ZF 41 testing telescope

I am glad to hear that, but are you really sure? Yes, I got it when many poped up on ebay several years ago and have compared it with my another one(#92916). The metal parts are really good, but the font is clearly different. I mean the serial number and "V=2x". #76514 and #92916 are more similar.

Perhaps, images in this site might help? taka25ban Too bad, it is only in Japanese... I guess you don't have to remove the ring completely.

Manual Mystery Hello all There are 2 variations of the manual for ZF41 called “D136/1”. The only difference between them is the figures mentioned within. No dfference in the description. The one with the following figure is well known because the picture is shown in both Senich’s (p.190) and...

Thank you for your cooperation! Yes, I would like to see the photos very much. So you also have the ZF41"M" which had just been discussed above. The meaning of the "M" remains unknown.

Nigromontanus, No, I have not seen a single one in my hand, only in internet pictures. Now, I understand that most of them are without the "hole". But I thought this was normal from sauer's reply on the other thread. (Sauer, sorry for using your picture.) So there are at least 2 or 3 examples...

    ZF41 Study

Very interesting! I have no information on these cxn "M" scopes. I have also seen this thread. http://www.k98kforum.com/showthread.php?9830-quot-M-quot-marking-on-ZF41 They are all cxn ZF40*-41 or ZF41 Type2. And the existence of the unusual hole at the place where the mount ring holds the...

Matching ZF41 Scope, Matching Can, Cleaning Brush, and Cloth

Hello Brian, indeed a very nice matching complete set! I assume that the scope is made in late 1942 or early to mid 1943. For information on the lubricant markings on scopes, take a look at this page. http://homepage3.nifty.com/zielfernrohr/zielfernrohr_039.htm And if you don't mind, I would...

    BYF 45 ZF41 Kriegsmodell

Nice rifle and also very nice scope! Your scope is a very early model without designation "Z.F.41" but marked only "Z.F.". It was made around 1940 or early 1941. The scope was reconditioned in 1942, when the "circle" was added.

Kov scope mystery There is something strange around ZF41/1 scopes made by kov, Etablissement Barbier, Bénard et Turenne (B.B.T.). So I am always looking for more information on these scopes. There are several unique facts on kov made ZF41/1. A:Circle marking Kov ZF41/1 is the only ZF41/1 with...
