Finally had some time to get some pics of this for you guys let me know what you think I always like to learn more. From my understanding it’s a 1945 rifle produced just before the French took over the factory it has a duffle cut that was nicely repaired so I was told that indicates a vet bring back. Floorplate and TG should be phosphated and not blue.
Stock should have a final WaA135 on the right side as this gun went through final acceptance.
Some late svw45s and MBs did not and they will not have the small E/135 final on the top of the receiver.

Stock is unmarked except for a small L stamp on where the sling goes through
Does your have have the additional sling carve outs in the stock? I’ve heard that was part of the French way.
There are other issues. This is the same rifle as previously photographed and discussed in the link below. The stock, triggerguard and floorplate have all been replaced. Same for the front band and perhaps other components.

I have been looking to attempt to add one of all the 1945 manufactured dates and codes k98s for along time. I have a BYF 45, DOU45, BCD45, BNZ45 and recently was able to add an SVW45 and a SVW MB. The SVW45 came from the forum and the SVWMB came from gunbroker. It has some pitting on the barrel...

Gman06, did you buy the rifle as is? If so, from whom if I may ask.
Obviously, the gun used to be correct and at some point it has undergone a drastic redo and in this case much for the worse.
I went back and looked at the original thread and Gman06, that stock that was originally on the build was an "A" grade stock, correct in all respects.
You ended up with a 'D' grade stock and actually not correct for the action. I will not even go into the floorplate and trigger housing assembly.
This deserves attention if you all get my drift. Lance, appreciate the callout here!

I bought it from a shop I’d prefer to not put anyone on blast as they could’ve received it that way

And what a shame that is, i can only imagine the parts were used on another rifle that was in similar shape, so can't imagine robbing Peter to pay Paul did anything if the other rifle started out in the same condition as this one now finds itself in.

Yes it is part of the learning process but its also obvious someone f*cked you over and should be put on blast. If not your seller, then whoever sold your seller the rifle, this thing has not been on the market long enough to go through THAT many hands. Whoever scooped that stock and parts will have a hard time selling it to anyone here who knows about it.
We do. And hoping that it does not involve any of our members here. Perhaps someone has knowledge and will contribute .....
The person who I bought this from has sold me multiple things and the other k98 I bought from them is matching so it wouldn’t have been them. They own a shop and it must’ve been sold to the shop then I bought it

If you are intent on keeping it the only real thing that would "fix it" would be get the original parts back.
I thought a lot of svw parts were unmarked? I couldn’t find a new stock and the right unfinished parts? If someone used the right parts on another rifle finding them would be very unlikely
