Debating on selling some project rifles?

I would probably sell them complete. If parting them out, the bolts will sell, but drilled barreled actions alone might be tough to move.

Karabiner 98k Volume IV - Book Addendum

Would love to see additional information on the SM, especially the early ones and there parallel production with the K98k at Mauser.

    Depot/field repaired rifle value?

if you are buying just for your own enjoyment, spend what you are comfortable with to get what you like. I have been known to violate the collectors rule, “always buy the best condition” on numerous occasions to get rare examples I may never see again. Think very early Chinese purchased Standard...

Modifications between the '1933 Banner K DPS' and final k98K models?

The Banner K rifles differ from the K98k in having the upper band retained by a pin, and the lower band by a stock mounted spring. The K98k has both bands retained by a single spring. (Some very late K98ks had bands retained by screws) Also the Banner K rifles had grasping grooves in the stock...

    Opportunity to buy

The bolt is a total mismatch. The “matching “ number on the bolt root is not original and adds no value. If the rest of the rifle is correct, somewhere around $1000. Just an opinion, not an appraisal.

    Relative value of Spreewerk P-38

Local shop has a matching Spreewerk P-38 “n” block. I believe they were the lowest production of the three makers, but still made a lot of pistols. Assuming condition is equal, how do they compare in value to Walther and Mauser made examples?

Japanese-used FN 1910: Rescuing a Refinished, Mislabeled Gun. Would you?

I have bought rare guns that have condition issues and been very happy with them. I own the earliest blank sidewall Standard Modell that I know of in the US. Metal condition is pretty good, but it is a bolt and stock mismatch though both are correct for this variation. It is listed by sn, but...

Help ID markings on the back of a P-08 holster

RockinWR and Ryan, Thanks to both of you for your informative posts. Would this holster with these marks command a premium over any other Luger holster in comparable condition? Is it worth $200? It also contained a loading tool, but it was unmarked and I have no idea if it was real or fake

Help ID markings on the back of a P-08 holster

Found this holster in a small local shop. I know the photos are poor, but it was the best I could do inside with a camera phone. Their is what appears to be a stamped name that begins with E and then ends with SS, with e several illegible letters in between. Below that numbers seem to be...

    Mauser DSM 34, Value question?

Local shop took in a Mauser DSM 34. Very good condition, original sling and stacking rod. All matching numbers. Stock doesn’t have any unit marks. Ballpark value on these? Thanks

Going rate on an RC K98?

Interesting that you mention “the growing interest in historical firearms”. A couple years ago you would see numerous threads on this forum and others lamenting the fact that Mauser collecting was the same bunch of old guys and the values would collapse as we die off and the trophy wives dump...

    Question on Berg &Co bayonet

I have never followed bayonets closely, But have accumulated several, sorting them now in anticipation of eliminating duplicates and getting down to a manageable number. Came across this one marked Berg & Co, dated 39 on the spline. In a matching scabbard with frog.. This is the first of that...
