My contact in the US Army museums checked the database and told me there is none in the museum system.
Can you elaborate on this piece, is this the mounting bracket?Since the late magazine holders are not available for sale, I had them made in their original size, which should not be missing on an MP44/Stg44 with ZF4 /Vampir rail;-)
This part was mounted on the late Mp.44 that had a zf4 rail. Since I finish a complete submachine gun unit with zg1229, it is an important component. Here an original with ZF4 railCan you elaborate on this piece, is this the mounting bracket?
That's right and I assemble such a rifle for the zg1229. This also includes the magazine holder and the surround. Haenel issued them with a zg1229 at the end of the war, nobody else.I want everything to be as detailed as possibleI have heard there are other marks elsewhere on the gun that indicate it was a vampir designated rifle, any truth to that?
It is almost ready after a long 2 years
I mixed an old recipeLooks incredible, what did you you use to create the zinc phosphate finish?
