I have been looking for one of these Zf41 booklets for many years, and finally found one as a supplement to what I believe is a complete weapons instruction/training manual. The manual itself includes what appear to be period edits and single sheet supplements, as well as a number of fold out charts and pictures. All comments welcome.

Nice! I have been looking for one of these also. They are tough to find. Thanks for sharing

Your manual is a brilliant example of the originals!
May I use the photos of your manual on my next video? I am planning to explain the difference between the original and the fake.
I only have the original pictures of the ZF41 from the Merkbaltt 25/4.

Kentomon - Thank you. PM me your name. I want to acknowledge you in my next book.

Somebody please translate it. Then get me your name and you'll be acknowledged too.

Hello - I am reviving this thread due to my somewhat recent acquisition of a stand-alone version of the Zf41 manual - I have questions for the group.

As pictured, the covers are identical except that the manual featured by Peter S. shows "D 136" in the upper right hand corner and my copy shows "D 136/1" - does anyone know the reason for the distinction? Does the number "1" following "136" denote a new version, printing series, or catalog number?

Thoughts and comments are appreciated.

This time I have a question about these, I know the Merkblatt 25/4 "Anleitung für die Ausbildung und den Einsatz von Scharfschützen".

What is the latest or rather the most current service regulation in the area of snipers?

The ZF41 manual "D136/1" was printed as "D136" when it was issued at the date 10 Feb. 1942. It was renamed as "D136/1" when the manual "D136/2 Karabiner 98k mit handelsüblichen Zielfernrohren" was published at the date 23 Feb. 1943. No statement on this is found, but we can see that since it was referred as "D136/1" in the Merkblatt 25/4 dated 15 May 1943.

I'm not asking this question because it's my collecting area, I don't collect sniper rifles. Maybe somebody remember it, in the last years I had translated some sniper documents for the forum. I'm only asking this question because I may have new information for you. Before I go ahead and sacrifice my free time for it, I wanted to know if there is interest and my effort get appreciated.

If anyone wants to help me, I would like to repeat the above question. Thank you.

I'm not sure I fully understand you question but if I do then the last war time documents I can think of would probably be the late K43 manuals that cover optics/snipers. Not sure if this is what you are talking about.

Either way, I would very much love to know about any documents you have pertaining to sniper rifles. Please share! And please translate more. Thanks!
