You could be right. I hope we get a definite answer. It seems like a lot of effort to remark if nothing else was changed. I wonder if the ballistic ring was changed since the K-98 ballistics would be different than a G-41 just like it was different on a SVT-40 and the PU.?

Yes this has been my thought as well Mike. This is the only thing I can imagine they would change.

It is clear that the lens system of ZF40 and ZF41/1 (or ZF40* and ZF41 Type2) are same. You can see there is no difference between dow ZF40 and dow ZF41/1, except the nomenclature.
As for the word "rework", Mr.Senich used the word in his book "The German Sniper" and I thought I could use the word by meaning reworking on the designation, not the scope itself.
So you don't say it "rework"? If so, I understand and thank you for letting me know.
