Can't comment on the sun shade but the eye cup looks identical to a repro I have and is available on eBay.

there are also repro sunshades that are extruded like the real ones. They are a little harder to "one look" than the older repro's that were lathe turned. It does have half a chance. Most orig. Eye cups have hardened up over time where new repro's are still squishy. Hope this helps.

Rainshield is a modern repro. The length wise striations are added to make it appear original and they are too heavy compared to originals. Rainshields are blued, not phosphate. Rubber eye cup is also a repro. For a dow ZF4 that has less than 10% bluing and repro accessories, I think 500 euro's is a bit much. Here in the US, prices for ZF4s are down, with no to little value given to the repro accessories, it might sell here for approximately $3500 USD.

I think you meant to say $350.

And there are actually phosphate rain shields that exist. They are extremely rare. Although the one posted here is not one.

Yes the rubber eye piece is repro the original ones are really hard and sniff from aging. What the Germans used too make rubber with at the time does not age well.

I am skeptical of Phosphate original rain shields but I say never say never.

I am not prepared to dispute LTC on anything G/K-43 sniper related. He is my go to guy.

Pics are worth a thousand words.

Most original rubber eye caps are still "squishy." The only time they are hard is if they were stored poorly. They are nothing like Japanese rubber eye caps which are always hard and broke.

Glad you don't believe it Mike. If you find any just sell them to me as repros.

Yes, Yes, Yes. I meant to say $350.00 and there are phosphated original rainshields. Original phosphated rainshields are on the same rarity level as the 5-prong rainshield. I should have been more detailed in my description. Thanks guys for keeping me on the straight and narrow.
