Hello,

Just went out shooting for the first time with my K98 wit (repro) Jena Zielvier scope.
Shoots great but how do i adjust the windage? Can't find any info on the web and the manual isn't very clear about it, and written in old german.
Hope anyone can help me out.20170510_195033.jpg20170510_205218.jpg20170510_205324.jpg

I did aim at the left target and the bullets ended up in the right target at 25 meter, so the sight is way off.

These scopes don't have any internal windage adjustment. The adjustment is all in the mount. The adjustment screw is on the rear arm below the ring, and the front arm pivots, the big screw under the upper mount loosens to allow the pivoting of the front.

I hope that makes sense.

Jeff

The windage on the mount is the square thing in the back on each side. A proper key or wrench is a good idea. This is common on European scopes of the time. Personally, I am not a big fan of the system but I am not 1900s European either.

Found a litlle tool to help with windage adjustment. In Dutch its called a kloksleutel. It's a key used to wind up the weights off olds clocks.

When shooting at 100M it comes out about 15 inches high, the groups are good. I can't set the scop any lower, is there also a fix for that? or just use a thin sheet of metal on the front mount to raise the front a little?
