We're already getting there.Bubba does not need to be around guns.
I wonder if one day all those $79 dollar SKS rifles that came into the US, box complete, will one day be like this? Worth thousands of dollars and many of them jacked with to this point by Bubba and collectors just balking at Bubba’s job?
Oh well. Another new one for my serial number listings anyway.
I don't understand, you go through all that work to modify the stock but there's no rear sight, how are you supposed to aim this thing?!
I bid on that rifle... It went for a LOT more than I thought it was worth. Rob at Apfeltor said he could do the metalwork repairs on it for about $525.
It went for just north of $2k.How much did it go for? For me not worth much more than 1200 bucks. You said 500 for repair, so still looking at mid 2000 range for a nice shooter after finding a good stock. That seems about right.
In the auction pictures that weren't reposted here, it showed that "bubba" had cut out part of the ZF4 scope rail to attach an aftermarket scope mount of some kind (it wasn't shown as part of the auction).Looks like somebody was going for the Rasheed carbine look, but why cut off the rear sight?
Yes. It's an absolute tragedy of the first degree, since there are already so few G/K43s out there as it is.Khyber Pass, level modifications.
Just crazy, that someone would do that to an authentic WWII firearm. (And Sad.)
