Would this sell?

Idk if this would have a chance at selling for any decent price
port. Contract k98
Most stuff isn’t matching, it’s been reblued once and refinished twice, most likely one of the German diverted ones but that won’t add any value, great condition though

There are plenty of people constantly looking for their first K98k. Figure out a price, take good photos and post it on the trader section.
Bought it for $700 definitely overpaid, I’ll probably lose money if I tried to sell it, also I have no idea how sales work on this site and all the legal stuff or ffl transfers, I feel like it would be easier to sell on gb but they have crazy fees already learned my lesson with that

I would stay away from gb . It is not hard to sell on chat boards . Ask what questions you have
Not sure what would be a good price for this, and for selling would they just send you the ffl info so you can ship it there? Can you even legally sell with out any licenses?

This must go to an FFL. Work out a deal with buyer, they will send funds and a copy of the FFL to send it to. You ship to address on the FFL. With adult signature requirement.
When you pack it, pull the bolt out. Protect it and tape it to the rifle. Many Dealers will have you enclose a photocopy of your Drivers License and write buyers name somewhere on the outside of the box for easy ID.
List it for what you have in it. You bought it, someone else will also. Take good photos.

And does the trading here work the same? Only I would also send ffl info to the other person?

Post your sale rifle and pictures on the trader forum with your asking price. https://www.k98kforum.com/forums/forum-trader.5/

If you are looking to purchase, the same rules apply. You make a deal with the seller then you send them a copy of your FFL and the funds, the seller will ship it to your dealer.
If you are looking to trade rifles, they still must go to an FFL. If that was your question.

Yep thinks, just realistically what do you think this could actually sell for?

In my opinion for what it is, I’d say it’s a nice presentable rifle that a new collector might appreciate. Put it up in our trader here, set it for what you paid and see what happens man, but take lots of pictures.

Stock looks nice, crisp bolt cutout

You didn’t overpay. It looks like a nice rifle for what it is as I said in my other post. Post it here, get paid however you work out with the buyer and then ship. Look up your state laws for specifics. For example, I use a local FFL to send the rifle/pistol to the FFL of the buyer. If they’re a C&R holder then they send that info to my FFL and it goes right to them. I’ve always thought it easy that way. My guy charges me a total of $70 to take a rifle in and ship it.

Remember: Most members here are great, but since you’re new and not familiar if you’re ever in doubt about a sale just ask a mod here for their thoughts about a potential buyer. They keep a good tab on things here. Scammers can slip through the cracks sometimes.
